Black Dog
2014 Statue (Available)
Black dog was inspired by my three hounds I have here on my Farm, located on Center Hill Lake. One of my dogs recently contracted a tick born illness, and after many trips to the vet she survived but will never be the same. Her struggle prompted me to participate in the Old Friends program. Black dog with red neon leash is meant to capture the moment the dog is free walking itself, leash trailing behind. The red neon pared with shiny black coloring of the dog offers a wonderful array of reflections between the two mediums.
