As a self-taught artist, I recently took the leap from a full-time 'conventional' job (graphic design for Penn State Abington) to focus on more important roles in my life: being a more involved mother to my three young boys and a more productive full-time independent artist. I have a home studio in Emmaus, PA, where I paint commissioned oil paintings from photographs sent by clients by e-mail.
While also finding time to work on special projects for my own personal artistic development, I also teach monthly classes at a nearby art studio. My favorite subjects to paint are children and figurative portraits, especially opportunities to catch a 'moment' in lieu of a basic portrait.
