Lícia Pacífico was born in São Paulo, city where she still lives and works. She began her career in 1970 using mixed techniques and materials and in her latest works is experimenting new techniques and mediums. With exhibitions in Brazil, Portugal, France, Italy, Japan, USA, among other countries, her work has been shown and awarded in several occasions.
Her work has evolved a lot in the last ten years, her favorite colors and themes are present, but it is easy to identify that her strokes are softer, less restrained. The way she uses the colors surprise us with shapes made by the mixture of paints, and by how they behave when looked carefully. Lícia has a sensitive and refined eye when creating her beautiful pieces. Flowers, butterflies, strong and bright colors are part of the repertoire of the artist, before more marked and defined lines that were coming loose, looking for freedom. Today we can clearly see that the artist found her way through the pictorial experimentation of want she wants to express.
The dog statue on the left was created by Lícia for dog.art in 2013.
