Suzi Gifford
Maryland artist Suzi Gifford borrows bright colors and whimsical images from nature to create paintings that are most often described as ‘happy’. Suzi has been drawing and painting as long as she can remember, and received her BFA from the Corcoran College of Art & Design in Washington, DC. She began her art career as an illustrator; taught classes to children, adults and seniors; and currently creates art in in various themes and mediums, including whimsical furniture.
Suzi is currently a member of the Montgomery Art Association and co-chair of the Art at Penn Place Gallery. Her flower painting technique consists of first painting abstract color on mixed media paper & using small pieces of those paintings to add texture to her canvas. She often also adds recycled papers to the canvas before applying final layers of paint & gold highlights. Learn more about Suzi at The Painted Bungalow. |
